Can Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Really End my Depression?

Can Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Really End my Depression?

Yes.  I am a poster child proving that hypnotherapy can pull you up from the depths of despair and restore your sense of well-being, and joy!

Today I am going to share a little bit about my personal story on the subject.

In 2003 I lost my son in a car accident.  I was sick with grief as this young man was my only child and we were very close.  I went to the doctor for some relief for my internal emotional pain.  I was put on the first round of anti-depressants.  These pills did not improve my emotional well-being, in fact, more symptoms developed and soon I was given mental health labels and a barrage of pharmaceuticals that were clearly designed to numb my mind so that I do not feel.  One pill led to more symptoms, more symptoms led to more pills.  It’s a cycle that is almost impossible to get out of.

This was a very unsatisfactory experience and my mental health continued to decline.  Finally, in 2006 I decided to come off of these prescription medications and found myself in a horrific emotional state that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.  I didn’t know that coming off the drugs is dangerous (because they are designed to reside in the brain and that alone is scary) and I didn’t know it would take a full year to be fully weaned off of these anti-depressant and other mental illness pills.

Finally, after about one year of being drug free, I was able to feel again and I found myself going through all of the grief all over again.  It is like those drugs are only there to freeze your mind so that you do not have emotions.    I was in a lot of pain (as if my son had just died all over again) so I went to see a hypnotherapist for help.  I had nothing to lose…I just knew I couldn’t keep suffering, and I could not go back on the cycle of pharmaceuticals!

The hypnotherapy changed my life changed completely.  I booked 14 sessions in just over two weeks and I have never looked back.  My hypnotherapist was trained and experienced with regression, parts, cords and suggestion therapies.  The results were so positive I decided to become a hypnotherapist myself.  It worked very well with my previous background as a counsellor, teacher, and coach.

Today I am giving back to my clients what was given to me.  I am afraid the current medical system of putting anyone and everyone on drugs anytime they have ‘feelings’ is flat-lining society so that they do not have to go through any emotional hardships.  The answer is drugs and the consequences are disastrous for otherwise normal people.  My platform is all about getting to the root of emotional disturbances, healing and reframing issues at the deepest part of our mind, and giving back joy to people who think they have lost all hope for a happy, fulfilled life.

Hypnotherapy is safe, it’s lovely, but most of all, it works!
